dishdash is a mobile app published by 1e6 Projects. These terms cover how you use it. They are short because the app does very little on your behalf. There is no account, no server and no subscription.
dishdash is a dashcam. Recording, the rotating buffer, impact protection, the GPS track and playback are free to use, with no time limit and no account.
dishdash Plus is a single payment that unlocks the extra features described in the app. It is not a subscription and it does not renew.
The purchase goes through Google Play. Play handles the payment and keeps the record of it. Refunds follow Google Play’s own refund policy, and you ask Play for one rather than us, because we never see the transaction.
Your recordings are never held back by the purchase. Whatever state an entitlement is in, the footage on your phone stays readable, playable and exportable.
Whether you may record the road, and what you may do with the recording afterwards, depends on where you are. Some places restrict filming in public, filming other people, or sharing footage that identifies them. Some require a device fixed to your windscreen to sit where it does not block your view. Those rules are yours to know and to follow.
dishdash records video only and captures no audio in its recordings, which keeps the separate question of consent to record conversation out of it. Blurring plates and faces is there to help with footage you mean to share. It is a best effort on your phone rather than a guarantee that every identifying detail has been covered, so watch a clip through before you publish it.
Nothing in the app is legal advice. A clip is not evidence until whoever you give it to decides that it is.
Set dishdash up before you drive. Do not use your phone while the vehicle is moving, and mount it where it does not block your view of the road. Your attention belongs on the driving, which is why the app is built to start and stop on its own.
The app is provided as it is. Recording on a phone depends on things we do not control: how much storage is free, battery and heat, whether another app is using the camera, and the decisions Android makes about what may run in the background. So we cannot promise that any particular moment will be captured, kept or recovered. A dashcam is a best effort and not an insurance policy.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss that comes from using the app, including footage that was never recorded, was overwritten by the rotating buffer, or was lost with the phone. None of this removes rights you have under consumer law, and in some countries those rights cannot be excluded.
Copy anything you would be sorry to lose somewhere else. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it holds.
Your footage, your tracks and your settings are yours. They stay on your phone. We have no copy of them and no way to get one.

If these terms change, the date above changes with them. The version that applies to you is the one published when you bought the app or last used it.
